Mornings are for you
As you ease into this fun-loving season, we want you to consider making it known that mornings are for you.
Oftentimes, the reason we feel like we need a break is because we don’t think we have enough time for ourselves. But by incorporating time for yourself into every day, you’ll be able to not only make it a priority this summer but a priority even as the seasons change!
Additionally, when you make mornings for you, you’re also making space to have more energy and focus to enjoy the day. By getting a good breakfast in, possibly some exercise, or maybe even making space for a good bath and calming makeup routine, you’ll kickstart the day feeling fueled up and ready to do more. In turn, this may keep your body naturally amped up and looking for things to do that you may find yourself wanting to be more productive or to try new things.
Maybe you’ll try out a new recipe or make a new craft with the family! You never know! But by making mornings for you, you’re also making mental space to better enjoy the days with them.

Keep work separate
If you’re staying at home this summer and still working, then separating work from home will be another way that you can feel more put together as you enjoy your days.
One way to do this is by automating LINK TO BLOG #3
your work but you could also manage your work days by keeping them to certain days of the week or certain times every day. By doing this you can help your mind separate when its time to work and when it's time to enjoy the day! To reinforce this, consider shutting off phones or work notifications after a certain time and making sure that clients or employees are aware of your boundaries as well.
By keeping your work separate, you’ll be able to focus more on the tasks you’re doing during your down time. Even if that’s taking a nap or bingeing a new show! Afterall, no one likes interruptions!
Keep moving!
Slowing down summer doesn’t have to mean an immobile summer! So even if you’re not planning on doing any crazy summer activities, try and plan movement into your days.
For every commercial on TV or every nap you take, make sure you get up and walk around for at least 10 minutes. Doing this will help keep your body active, blood circulating and your mind fresh.
And if you want to add in a little more movement, consider packing in rewards to your movements! For example, tell yourself once a week you’re going to bike for 20 minutes. And instead of biking around your neighborhood, bike to your closest nail salon and get your nails done! Not only does that give your body a healthy dose of exercise but it also gives you an opportunity to treat yourself.
By the end of the summer, you’ll be rested and looking better than just “put together.” You’ll be looking phenomenal!
