Do some aggressive market research into learning not only the general demographics of your targeted audience but also really getting into their minds and learning what it is they want or need so that you can better understand how it is that you can help them!


Show Up Online


It’s 2022 and marketing your business is near impossible if you don’t have an online footprint. And while we aren’t saying you have to be online 24/7, we do think a presence somewhere is needed. Without an online presence, you're not giving your audience a place to learn more about you and it could make them trust you less seeing as most businesses these days do have some extent of an online presence.


First things first, you’ll want to take a look at the research you did on your audience. Where do they hang out most? Facebook? Twitter? Instagram? Knowing where your audience is hanging out can help you understand where you need to put your effort behind and create a consistent schedule to show up.


Use Email Marketing


Email marketing is a wonderfully productive way to market your business as nearly everyone has an email address AND actively uses it. By utilizing email, you give yourself an intimate way to connect with your audience beyond the confines of social media.


You can grow brand awareness as well as develop trust with your audience by deploying a:

By offering a barter system or promoting bundles together, you’re able to build a name for yourself within your immediate community and gain new customers who may not have known you were open for business before.


Not only does this help grow your business but it also gives a leg up for other small businesses in your neighborhood. And when one small business wins, we all do!


Establish your Authority


Finally, one of our favorite marketing tips to growing your business is by establishing your authority with your audience so that they know your business is the one to go to for their needs (whether products or services.)


If you’re comfortable being online, you can do this by:

  • Posting frequent valuable information (on social media and blogs)

  • Hosting lives or masterclasses with information

  • Being a guest on podcasts


If you’re more comfortable in person, you can do this by attending speaking events or hosting your own events.


No matter what you decide to do when marketing your business, however, just keep in mind that there is no “right” way! So if you find that something isn’t working for you, keep in mind that it’s always ok to pivot and try something different!
