If you’ve just made the jump into signing on with NetSuite for your business, congrats!
You just made a very smart investment towards running an efficient and sustainable business.
And now that the congratulatory shock may be starting to wear off, it’s time to sit down and actually start implementing it which can be...overwhelming. NetSuite prides itself on the many ways it can integrate itself into your business in order to become one giant honeycomb but the initial stages of making that happen may make you feel like procrastinating a bit.
In order to avoid that from happening (because the best way to make this a success is to get started asap so that your employees can adopt it even quicker), we want to encourage you to break down your implementation into different sections so that each department knows what it should be focusing on!
Knowing what NetSuite can do for each of your departments will help give you a better roadmap on how to start integrating asap. Below we’ve outlined some departments that you can focus on to help this implementation easier!
Finances
Within NetSuite’s accounting software, your department will now have the ability to “transform your general ledger, optimize AR, automate AP, streamline tax management and get a complete view of cash flow and financial performance.”*
Regarding more financial management, your department will be able to “expedite daily financial transactions, accelerate the financial close process, ensure compliance and get a complete, real-time view of your business’s financial performance, from a consolidated level down to individual transactions.”*
Most importantly, this will all be happening from one place! Say goodbye to having to track down different expenses, or check-in with different departments. NetSuite will make sure that your team has everything readily available to them.
Inventory
With NetSuite’s inventory management, your warehouse team will now have a much easier time doing their job!
Allow them to focus on learning how to automate their inventory tracking so that they no longer have to rely on spreadsheets or their own pen and paper which could (and often does) lead to human error.
Other inventory features within NetSuite include multi-location fulfillment so that you can “predefine fulfillment rules to eliminate multiple shipments for a single order and avoid excess shipping charges”*, demand-based replenishment, and trace inventory so that you can trace inventory using lot and serial tracing.
CRM
Your customer happiness is essential to keeping your business and NetSuite’s CRM makes sure that continues to happen but on an elevated level!
With NetSuite’s Sales Force Automation, your sales team will be able to take their hands off the wheels because of “integrated sales processes from opportunity, upsell and quote management to sales forecasting, order management, fulfillment, and commissions”*. Plus with marketing automation, your team can spend more of it’s time making sure that the customer experience is as top-tier as it can be 24/7.
And if things don’t go as planned, NetSuite’s platform also gives the customers the option to submit cases online so that they can feel attended to instantly whether through an online database of FAQ’s or your timely responses.
Breaking up your departments and letting them know which areas to focus on can be very helpful for the beginning stages of implementing this software!
