We’re Debunking Five of the Biggest Oracle NetSuite Myths

If you haven’t picked up on it by now, we’re big fans of NetSuite. But we’re not ignorant of the fact that there are a lot of myths surrounding our all-time favorite ERP. Different opinions and assumptions have certainly created stories of their own, and we consider it an honor anytime we’re able to set the record straight.

So if using Oracle NetSuite to empower your business has been on your mind, but certain rumors have kept you at bay, then read on to discover if there is any truth to them and whether or not NetSuite is right for you!

Myth #1: Netsuite Is Just Like the Rest

We’re starting with the big one, and it’s the assumption (or myth) that NetSuite is just like the rest. Now, as a consulting company that has seen its fair share of ERPs, we completely understand how ERPs can all seem the same after a while, but we hope you can take our word for it when we say that NetSuite is not like the rest.

While many ERPs may only focus on one particular industry, niche, or even department within your business, NetSuite’s wide-ranging features allow you to adapt it to any industry and any niche while servicing the most vital pieces of your business.

Myth #2: Netsuite Is Not Cost-Effective

This might be one of our favorite myths to debunk because it couldn’t be further from the truth. While NetSuite is by all accounts an investment, it certainly holds its weight compared to other big-house ERP systems.

While many ERPs may come with flat rate fees regardless of the needs of your business, NetSuite provides every company with a custom quote. This means your price depends on your needs, the number of users you’ll have, add-ons you’re interested in, contract length, and much more. NetSuite knows there’s no one-size-fits-all. With different editions that you can choose from, it honors that from value to pricing and every step in between.

Myth #3: NetSuite Is Not User-Friendly

This myth is one of the scariest ones because it gives the impression that implementing NetSuite into your business will not be easy. And we’ll admit adapting to this system can become a chore when implemented inefficiently.

However, when done strategically (i.e., with support and patience), implementing NetSuite into your day-to-day could be one of the most effortless and natural things in the world. Plus, with its built-in basic support, tiered payment support, and free community forums, you’ll never feel alone when learning how to make something work for your team and your business.

Myth #4: NetSuite is Outdated

Myth #4 is frustrating because, as the #1 cloud ERP, it’s hard to picture just how this ERP may be deemed outdated! With routine biannual updates and technology dedicated to staying ahead of the industry and the world’s demands, NetSuite is one of the most advanced ERPs on the market.

After all, let’s not forget that it was recognized as a leader in the 2022 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™.

Myth #5: Netsuite Is Only for Big Businesses

The last myth we want to debunk is one of the biggest myths that could keep your business from success. It’s the idea that NetSuite was only created for big-brand name businesses or businesses that operate all over the world when in fact, NetSuite was designed for you.

As we mentioned before, NetSuite bases its pricing on the needs of your business because of its unique ability to be customized to your needs. So whether big or small, Oracle NetSuite can dial the support way up or down to your exact needs until you’re ready to grow bigger. As a result, it’s genuinely one of the only ERPs on the market that grows with you!

Don’t Be Fooled!

With so many features and benefits, we understand how these myths might have grown. But the important thing to remember here is that they’re not true! Not only is NetSuite unlike any ERP, but it CAN fit in your budget, be user-friendly to implement and adapt, stay up-to-date with your needs, and grow with your business.
